Who am I?

Sarah Hayden is a neurodivergent social worker, author, and public speaker who is passionate about creating a world where difference is celebrated, not silenced. Drawing on both lived experience and decades of professional practice, Sarah specialises in neuro affirming approaches that support children, young people, adults, couples, families, schools and workplaces to thrive.

As the founder of Wild one therapy and consulting and author of Parenting Different , Sarah brings a unique blend of professional expertise, creativity and heartfelt storytelling to her work. She is known for her ability to make complex ideas relatable and engaging - whether shes delivering professional supervision, leading workplace training or speaking on stage to hundreds.

Sarahs practice is grounded in warmth, humour and honesty. She believes in courageous conversations, celebrating strengths , and creating spaces where every person feels seen and valued. Her professional background spans trauma-informed care, mental health, equine assisted therapy and community development with a focus on empowering neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Through her workshops, writing, and speaking engagements , Sarah challenges myths, dismantles stigma, and shares practical strategies for inclusive , affirming practice. Sarah loves nothing more than creating neuro affirming resources, writing her second book and spending time with her beautiful family in Victoria on their acreage on Wadawurrung Country - land that always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
